Every record the DVSA expects. One pack.
Fillable inspection sheets, driver defect reports, retorque and tyre records, a 52 week planner, a workshop log and a job estimator. Built inside a working HGV workshop, not by a software company.
When DVSA turns up, they ask for paperwork.
Not the software you pay for. The records. This pack is the full set an examiner or a Traffic Commissioner expects to see, with the form in the pack that answers each one.
Eleven files. Nothing you don't need.
Eight fillable PDFs, two Excel workbooks and a read me. Every PDF works on a phone, tablet or computer, or prints cleanly to fill by hand.
HGV PMI inspection sheet
73 items across cab, exterior, chassis, brakes, wheels and final checks. Tyre record, brake test, defect table and roadworthiness declaration on the back.
Trailer safety inspection
63 items with type specific sections for curtainsider, skeletal, tipper, tanker, refrigerated, car transporter and tail lift.
Daily walkaround and defect report
The same 27 items as current DVSA guidance, including the 2023 additions for high voltage and alternative fuel. Nil defect box, driver assessment, rectification sign off.
Weekly walkaround record
One sheet per vehicle per week. Seven day columns, driver initials, odometer, and defects logged below. For fleets that want less paper.
Defect and rectification report
Concern, cause and correction. Parts and labour, photo evidence boxes, technician signature and supervisor countersign.
Wheel nut torque and retorque record
24 line log with torque wrench ID and calibration date. Initial torque and retorque both signed, or it isn't complete.
Tyre record and age log
15 wheel positions with tread, pressure, DOT date and age. The 10 year rule and minimum tread written on the sheet.
52 week forward maintenance planner
Sixteen vehicles per sheet, week by week, with a key for inspections, MOT, service, tacho, LOLER and brake test. Pin it on the wall.
Workshop and fleet log
Job board, compliance and invoicing close out, and a fleet tab that works out next inspection and MOT due dates with overdue warnings. A dashboard shows what needs doing today.
Job pricing and parts estimator
Your labour rate, your parts prices, a library of standard job times and customer rates. Produces a customer facing quote that fills itself in.

Which form to use when, how to fill them in on any device, how to keep the master blank, and how to file so a DVSA examiner can find it.
Buy it tonight, use it tomorrow morning.
Pay once
£149 plus VAT by card or Apple Pay. The download link arrives straight away. VAT registered businesses claim the VAT back as normal.
Fill in on anything
Open a PDF on a phone, tablet or PC and type into the boxes. Or print it and use a pen. Both are accepted records.
Save As, per vehicle
Save each completed form with the reg and date. The blank master stays untouched and is reused forever. One folder per vehicle is your maintenance file.
Small fleets and the workshops that look after them.
- Operators running 1 to 30 vehicles or trailers
- Independent HGV and trailer workshops
- New O licence applicants who need a written system in place
- Anyone still using triplicate pads or a scrappy Word document
If you run 200 trucks, you need software.
- Fleets that need live scheduling across several sites
- Operators already on a maintenance system they're happy with
- Anyone expecting the pack to make them compliant on its own. The records are one part of the system. The intervals, the people and the checks are the rest.
Straight answers.
Is this DVSA approved?
No, and nothing is. DVSA doesn't approve or certify forms. These are aligned to the DVSA Guide to Maintaining Roadworthiness and the current 27 item walkaround guidance, which is the standard examiners work to.
Do the forms work on a phone?
Yes. Open them in Adobe Acrobat Reader, the Files app on an iPhone or iPad, Preview on a Mac or Chrome on anything. Tap a box, type. Tap a checkbox, it ticks.
Can I put my own logo on them?
The PDFs carry the HGVDesk mark. Editable Word versions with space for your own logo are being added to the pack and will be sent free to everyone who has bought it. Email hello@hgvcompliancepack.co.uk if you want them sooner.
Is the VAT included?
VAT is added at checkout on top of £149 and handled by the payment platform. If your business is VAT registered you claim it back as normal.
Will it be updated when DVSA guidance changes?
Yes. Updates to the forms go to every buyer at no charge.
Can I share it with my other depots?
One purchase covers one operator or one workshop, at all of its sites. It isn't for resale or for handing to other companies.
How do I get help?
Email hello@hgvcompliancepack.co.uk. Replies come from the people who built the pack, not a ticket system.
